Authorship Criteria
AUTHORSHIP CRITERIA
Eligibility and accountability
CITIZEN : Jurnal Ilmiah Multidisiplin Indonesia adopts four cumulative authorship requirements, adapted from ICMJE for its multidisciplinary scope. Each author must contribute substantially to the design, evidence or interpretation; draft or critically revise the intellectual content; approve the final version; and accept responsibility for ensuring that integrity questions are investigated and resolved. Every eligible contributor must be included. Substantive contributors must be given an opportunity to participate in writing, review and approval rather than being excluded from eligibility.
Contributions and author order
A contribution statement identifying the work of each author must accompany the submission, preferably using relevant CRediT roles. CRediT describes contributions and does not itself determine eligibility. Authors collectively agree on author order. Funding, administrative authority, general supervision or language editing alone does not establish authorship. Acknowledge other contributors with their permission. Gift, guest, ghost and purchased authorship are prohibited.
Corresponding author and changes
The corresponding author confirms author identities, affiliations, consent and disclosures, and coordinates responses throughout publication. The author list should be settled before submission. Before acceptance, changes require a reason, written agreement from all affected authors, including anyone added or removed, and editorial approval. After acceptance, discretionary changes are not permitted. Documented errors or institutional findings requiring correction of the record are assessed separately; a justified post-publication change requires a linked correction. An unresolved authorship dispute is referred to the relevant institution rather than adjudicated solely by the journal.
AI and disputes
AI systems cannot be authors or accept accountability. Authors remain responsible for accuracy, attribution and disclosed AI assistance under the journal’s separate AI policy. Authorship concerns may be sent to info@das-institute.com with the manuscript ID or article DOI. Disputed cases may be referred to the relevant institution; measures to protect the published record need not wait for unanimous author agreement.
